#49: A Layer of Grime
At this point, it’s common knowledge that hotel comforters and duvet covers are cesspools of unknown germs. We’ve all seen those nasty Dateline special reports, right? Well, we’re here with another PSA in case you’re about to go on vacation and need a friendly reminder.

A hotel employee reminded the internet that the comforters in hotel rooms are never, ever washed. Ever. They’re simply straightened over the bed whenever the cleaning crew goes into a room to clean up. Maybe they spray some Febreze if things start to smell musty, but that’s it. Sit on a hotel bed at your own risk.
