The Tiny House Village is like a helping hand for those who need a short-term place to stay, called a transitional housing program. They provide services to support people in living well within their community and eventually moving to a more permanent home.
Their focus is on involving people in their community and encouraging them to participate in activities that are helpful and productive. Being part of a community helps individuals to feel more independent, maintain their dignity, make personal choices, and have their own space.
Programs like these aim to prevent problems before they occur by focusing on what we know works best, which are protective factors. They assist people in staying strong, shielding them from harmful situations, and contribute to making the community a healthier place by working together.

What is the Tiny House Village Like?
The Tiny House Village is like a little neighborhood with 30 small houses. Each house is only 120 square feet, which is about the size of a small bedroom. Inside each house, there’s a bed that’s as big as a queen-size bed, some shelves to keep things organized, a small fridge to store food, and a desk to do work or homework.
Also, every house has its own heater and air conditioner to keep it comfy. Instead of having bathrooms in each house, there are shared bathrooms that everyone can use. There’s also a big kitchen where people can cook together and hang out indoors or outdoors. Plus, there’s a garden, a grill for BBQs, and a place for dogs to play.
This village is all about living together as a community. All the houses face common areas where everyone can meet up. The staff and the people living in the village plan fun things to do together, like games or movie nights.
When people live here, they have to work with Case Managers, who are like special helpers, to set goals and figure out how to reach them.
These goals help them find a permanent place to live and learn how to take charge of their lives. The Case Managers also help Villagers identify resources, like job opportunities or classes, to help them succeed.
